The project implemented by Janainas, Club Dialog, and Wir im Brunnenviertel supported more than 650 participants between 2022 and 2025
A celebration on the evening of November 21, 2025, at the House of Democracy in Berlin marked the completion of the first phase of the Frauenpower in Mitte project, carried out jointly by Janainas e.V., Club Dialog e.V., and Wir im Brunnenviertel e.V. Over the past three years, the initiative has supported more than 650 immigrant women* in advancing towards their professional goals in Germany.
Among the outcomes achieved by participants are securing jobs and Minijobs, engaging in volunteer work, starting self-employment ventures, and enrolling in technical courses and professional training programs. Practical exercises, counseling practices, biographical work, building support networks, and peer exchanges have been central and effective methods in the process.
The closing event brought together participants, staff, and collaborators of “Frauenpower in Mitte”, institutional representatives, and community guests. Christine Brinkmann, representative of the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, and Rodrigo Baena Soares, Brazilian Ambassador in Berlin, highlighted the importance of the initiative in their speeches.
The project was implemented within the framework of the federal program MY TURN – Frauen mit Migrationserfahrung starten durch, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
The celebration marked the end of a phase, but the work continues.
